A confidential marriage license is a legal California marriage license not open to general public inspection. No witness required. Brian is authorized by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk to issue this license — without the courthouse visit.

Getting Married
Can we get married the same day?
Yes! We offer same-day marriage services by appointment, subject to availability. We issue your Confidential Marriage License, perform the ceremony, and handle the filing—all in one visit.
How long does the process take?
Approximately 30–40 minutes. You are legally married once the required ceremony and documents are properly completed.
What are the requirements?
Both partners must be at least 18 years old, currently living together as spouses, legally eligible to marry, and have valid identification. Both must appear in person. No witnesses or blood tests are required.
What forms of ID do you accept?
Both partners must bring valid, unexpired government-issued identification, such as: California or other U.S. driver's license U.S. passport Foreign passport Other government-issued identification, including state ID cards or Green Cards, may be accepted. Please contact us in advance for confirmation. Foreign-language documents may require a certified English translation.
Do we need to live together?
Yes. California requires couples applying for a Confidential Marriage License to currently live together as spouses. There is no minimum cohabitation period.
Can we marry if we are not U.S. citizens?
Yes. U.S. citizenship and California residency are not required. You must meet California's marriage requirements and provide acceptable identification.
What if we were previously married?
Your previous marriage must be legally ended. If divorced within the past two years, a certified copy of the final divorce document is required. Otherwise, you generally need the date your previous marriage ended.

How much does it cost?
Office Marriage: $350 + county license fee. Mobile Marriage: $350 + travel + county license fee. Same-Day Priority: $450 + county license fee. Marina Sailboat Marriage: $450 + county license fee. Marina Cruising Package: $600 + county license fee. The LA County license fee (currently $85) is added separately to every option.
Do we need witnesses or a courthouse visit?
No. We are authorized to issue Confidential Marriage Licenses and perform legal ceremonies. No witnesses or courthouse visit are required.
Can you marry us at our home or another location?
Yes! We offer mobile services at homes, hotels, and other suitable locations throughout Los Angeles. Travel charges may apply.
Can family and friends attend?
Yes, space permitting. Please let us know how many guests you plan to bring.
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
Payments for licenses already issued and services already performed are nonrefundable. Please contact us in advance for cancellations or rescheduling. Refunds for unperformed services are subject to our booking terms and applicable law.
What if there is an error on our marriage license?
If we make an error, we will correct and resubmit the documents at no additional service charge. If incorrect information was provided by the couple, a $50 processing fee applies when correction work is required, plus any applicable county fees. If a new license is required, the additional county fee is $85, making the total $135. Corrections are subject to county procedures.
Can we reschedule?
Yes, subject to availability. Please notify us as early as possible. Additional charges may apply if services have already begun.
After Your Marriage
Are we legally married immediately?
Yes. Once your legal ceremony and required documents are completed, you are married. We handle filing your license with Los Angeles County.
How long does it take to receive our certified marriage certificate?
Los Angeles County typically takes approximately 4–6 weeks to process and register the marriage. Once available, you may request a certified copy from a participating County Clerk office. An appointment may be required.
Is the certified marriage certificate included?
No. The county issues certified copies separately for $19 each. This fee is not included in our marriage service.
Is our marriage information confidential?
Yes. Confidential marriage records are not open to the public. Generally, only the married couple or someone with a court order can obtain a certified copy.
Can we change our last names after marriage?
Yes. Certain name changes can be included when preparing your marriage license. Please notify us before the license is issued.
Can we use our marriage certificate for immigration or other legal purposes?
Yes. A certified marriage certificate is official proof of marriage. It can be used for immigration, insurance, name changes, and other purposes, subject to each agency's requirements.

How far will you travel?
All of Greater Los Angeles and Southern California — Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties. Travel fees may apply outside the LA area.
What is the Marina Cruising Package?
A private legal marriage ceremony aboard our 36-foot sailboat at Marina del Rey. Includes a one-hour cruise and photos. $600. Subject to availability and weather conditions.
